To Sleep Perchance To Dream

I was so exhausted this week. Working 15+ hours a day all week really takes a lot outta ya. I'm so happy for the weekend! Now if only I can stop dreaming about work.

Devil Dolls

The Dummy (1981)

This short scared the life out of me when I was a kid! I had to have been between 5 and 7 when I caught it on TV. All my stuffed animals were immediately locked up for an extended period of time after, and though it's certainly not as intense as I remembered, the knife under the door part brought back a lot of unsettling feelings.

After watching this again as an adult, I'm reminded of the story I heard in college of Robert, the haunted doll of Key West. I'm not much of a believer in stuff like this, but this story still gives me the creeps.

EAR GOO: Val Emmich

I wanted to see what all the Emmy-winning hub-bub surrounding 30 Rock was all about, so I watched a handful of episodes online last week and I fell in love. Not just with the show, but with Liz Lemon's coffee delivery boy toy, Jamie. I'm sure he was only in one episode, but he was mmm-mmm-memorable. Then today, as I was traipsing around the internet, I found the answer to a question I'd never even asked myself. (Thank you, Culture Bully.)

"Ever wonder what 'Jamie,' the coffee guy from that one 30 Rock episode, does when he’s not bumping and grinding with Tina Fey? Well, the man makes music."

Well, there you go! And here's a little video he made.

I like it. It's a nice little bundle of indie pop wrapped with an extremely handsome bow.
I must say that the keyboard immediately reminds me of LCD Soundsystem (compare with "All My Friends"), and his voice reminds me a lot of Pete Yorn (compare with "For Nancy"). But the song's too cute and catchy to be upset about it.

Speaking of Artistic Thievery...

My lady, M. has just brought to my attention that Jimmy Choo has apparently just stolen our photo session from a few years back. Certainly a coincidence since we never posted them, but alas, it's just another reinforcement of my previous post's theory. ;)

Jimmy Choo's photography may have been far superior, but M's Lanvins blow that cheap strappy shit out of the bathwater.

Sharon Stone Stole My Smile

It's my signature smile. I also refer to it as my "I just won the LOTTO!" smile.

I've had way too many pictures taken of this smile for it to be a coincidence.

It just reinforces the thought that my brain has a chip in it, tapped into some Hollywood super-computer.
