Jewelry Stud

They call him The Alchemist. And my God, he is gorgeous.
Philip Crangi is a jewelry designer with his own line for men (and women). From what I gather he specializes in gold, as well as materials that are not traditionally used in jewelry, including steel and wrought iron. His men's line takes inspiration from traditional symbols of toughness and masculinity (i.e. anchors, stag horns, skulls, horse shoes, etc.). His pieces have been called politely punk; they're fun, bold (he makes pearls on a man look good!), and completely out of my price range.
I found a nice bio HERE
And he's an obsessive collector of junk. I mean that in the best way possible. The junk he finds is outstanding.
Adorable. I love him.

Healter Skelter
(I know I spelled it wrong.)
Here's a BIZARRE campaign ad from Presidential contender, Former U.S. Senator from Alaska, Mike Gravel. Gravel was by far the most pro-gay of the Democratic candidates, but is now running on the Libertarian ticket. He's an amusingly off-kilter old dude, who doesn't give a rat's ass what anyone thinks about him.
In this ad, he sings the Beatles "Helter Skelter," over images of the world going to Hell in a handbasket. It's fantastically disturbing.
Thanks, Mike!

Everybody Wants a Lover Like That
I found this yesterday at the local 99 cent store. I considered buying it, but it's not a good sign when a perfume is placed next to the Lysol. Speaking of...I'm going to the George Michael concert when he hits NYC! It'll be his first North American tour in 17 years. Amazing.

Hey Good Lookin'!
I finally got rid of that annoying layout! The green was hard to read and I was sick to death of the whole thing. I also updated my template to a more manageable version. I'd been stuck so long with the old version of Blogger and I was using trial and error to locate which color code went with what in the html. What a headache! All I needed was to click on Update Template and it's now as easy as pie to make changes. Who knew? Also, a big wet red hot thank you to my pal Sheena Beaston for designing me a new header! I can't say enough how cool her page is. Everyone needs to check it out. Her link, along with several others has been added to my blog roll on the right. Be sure to have a looksie.
I'd love to know what you think of the new place. Please leave a comment below!
